CBD, short for Cannabidiol, is one of at least 113 known Cannabinoids. Cannabinoids are natural compounds found within Industrial Hemp and Cannabis plants, and even within the human body.

Endocannabinoid receptors are found throughout the body: in the brain, organs, connective tissues, glands, and immune cells. There are currently two known kinds of receptors within the Endocannabinoid System; CB1 and CB2 receptors.

In each tissue, these receptors have differing signals, and different effects based on the certain cannabinoids that respond to their signals, but the goal is always the same: homeostasis, the maintenance of a stable internal environment despite fluctuations in the external environment.

When you see the term "Full Spectrum Hemp Extract" you may be wondering, what exactly is Full Spectrum?

CBD, or Cannabidiol, is one of at least 113 different cannabinoids. Full Spectrum means you are getting the a wide range of cannabinoids that are present naturally in the hemp plant, as well as a plethora of essential minerals, vitamins, protein, chlorophyll, fatty acids, fiber, terpenes and flavanoids! This is opposed to synthetic Cannabinoids or a singular, isolated Cannibinoid extract.

This mix of Cannabinoids and other natural compounds within our Full Spectrum Hemp Extract work together to amplify their individual properties in a harmonious manner, supporting your body in its attempt to achieve homeostasis. This collaborative blend is often referred to as the "Entourage Effect".

We are confident in the superior quality of our Owego Hemp Full Spectrum Hemp Extract, and we know you will be too.

Always talk to your doctor before you take CBD, or any other herbs or supplements.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is CBD Legal?

CBD that has been extracted from the hemp plant, as opposed to the cannabis plant, and contains less than 0.3% THC is legal within the United States. In December 2018, The 2018 Farm Bill was signed into law. This legalized hemp at a federal level and removed it from a federal list of controlled substances. It is now legal nationwide and considered an "agricultural commodity".

Does CBD make you feel a "high"?

CBD is a non-psychoactive compound. The reason you experience a high with medical marijuana is because it contains the psychoactive compound THC. Owego Hemp Brand CBD products contain between 0 and <0.3% THC and will not get you high.

Are Hemp Oil and CBD Oil the same thing?

Any product that is sold as CBD (cannabidiol) should explicitly state on the label it contains CBD (Cannabidiol), as well as the plant it is derived from. Anything that says "Hemp Oil" or "Hemp Seed Oil", while nutritious, is a food product and will not provide the full benefits of CBD. Many products also contain additional ingredients that dilute the CBD. We want our users to be informed. Make sure any products you are buying are made with organic ingredients, tested for harmful contaminants, and are properly labeled.

Do you grow and process the hemp used in your products?

The process of extracting CBD from hemp is highly delicate and requires equipment we as a family run, small business cannot manage at this time. We are extremely passionate about providing high quality CBD products at an affordable price. We did the thorough research so you don't have to. The hemp used in manufacturing Owego Hemp CBD is grown on organic farms in Colorado. Our manufacturers work with local associations of farmers to purchase only the highest grade of regionally grown hemp strains. Our pure Cannabidiol is extracted utilizing the CO2 extraction method. This allows for cleaner, more pure products that you can rely on. The process of CO2 extraction uses pressurized carbon dioxide to extract phytochemicals from the hemp plant. It does not leave behind trace amounts of toxins, and leads to an overall truly higher quality concentrate. Our CBD is 3rd part lab tested, and you can view the most current lab results here.
